ABOUT WORLD WILDLIFE FUND

Did you know the famous animal that is endangered of extinction? Currently, there are only 1600 giant pandas in the world (Source). World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) helps a conservation of the nature. This NGO was founded on April 29, 1961, Morges, Switzerland by Russell E. Train, the second administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He was the founder and chairman of WWF, however passed away on September 17, 2012. Carter Roberts is the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of WWF and headquarter is located in the United States (Source). WWF helps conserving the nature. Specifically, they are focusing on issues that could affect on endangered species and habitats. Climate change, deforestation, Illegal wildlife trade, and overfishing are the examples of issues that WWF is treating (Source). This NGO is at international level with more than 100 countries on 6 continents. From these actions, this NGO is making lots of efforts since it was founded and they succeed in helping environments (Source)
